I used the iPhone 16 Pro in the USA for a year. Here is my one-year review covering the camera, battery, and A18 chip. Let's also look at the price and whether it's worth upgrading.
I bought the iPhone 16 Pro in September 2025. It’s been about a year now. Many people ask if this $999 phone is still worth buying in 2026. Today, I’m going to tell you the honest truth—the good and the bad.
1. How is the A18 Pro Chip?
Apple claimed it was 25% faster, and that’s true. I do gaming and video editing, and it hasn't hung up even once. The Apple Intelligence features introduced in iOS 18 work really well on this device. Siri is a bit smarter now, too.
2. Camera and Battery Tests
The camera is the best upgrade. Photos taken with the 48MP main camera remain sharp even at night. The dedicated "Capture Button" makes shooting video incredibly easy. As for the battery, it’s excellent; it easily lasts me from 8 AM to midnight—giving me around 28 hours of usage. However, there is one downside: the 5x zoom is exclusive to the Pro Max model.
3. The 2026 USA Price – Is it worth buying?
In the USA, the price still starts at $999. You can find a refurbished unit for around $650. If you are using an iPhone 14 or an older model, this is a worthwhile upgrade. However, if you already own an iPhone 15 Pro, it is better to wait for the iPhone 17.
The iPhone 16 Pro still delivers a flagship experience. It is worth buying for its camera and battery performance. However, there is no revolutionary change; it is just a minor update.
